We have had two major cricketers with this surname, yet this continues to be mispronounced across all news channels. In fact, even I am guilty of mispronouncing it at times. I finally had to use a mnemonic to fix my mispronunciation. There was a famous film song from Kallicharan. The song was "Jaa re jaa oh harjaai". Now I do not get the pronunciation wrong as I use this as an aide memoire :)
