Most news channels pronounce his name as vlad-e-mir put in. It is strange how a man is in the news for so long and yet he is continously mispronounced. The correct pronunciation of his name is vluh-thee-mir poo-tin (soft t). It is even easier for Hindi announcers to get the name right. However they seem to be more comortable with व्लाडिमिर पुतिन which is wrong. The correct pronunciation in Hindi would be व्लदीमिर पूतिन.
