Now that Sreesanth has been handed a life ban, I could not avoid this post. The entire Hindi media pronounces his name as sree-sunt (rhyming with runt with a soft t). स्रीसंत. The word sant in Hindi refers to an exalted person. Hence the pronunciation jars even more.
The correct pronunciation is श्रीशांत. shree-shan't (shan't pronounced the British way with a soft t). Though many would say, he is anything but 'shaant' which in Hindi means calm, but then that is the correct pronunciation and not subject to phases in his life.
