When Sheereen Bhan goes to interview him, she calls him Shiv Nather (to rhyme with father). Even his own daughter pronounces the surname as Narder (to rhyme with harder). Here is another anchor (a south Indian no less) pronouncing the name incorrectly In fact, he himself pronounces the name in a way where the second vowel sound is slightly shortened. However Nadar is a well known caste surname in Tamil Nadu, and there is only one way to pronounce it correctly.
